I have been using this Shell Petrol Station branch in West Bromwich for over years now and never had any problems with payments. But last week my wife fueled up as usual paid for the fuel via the debit card and the cashier said all ok. But when she went to fuel up today a week later he said your payment didn't go through for some reason and gave us a notice for the fuel charge but a fine too. So £ to £! I have no idea why the cashier didn't say at the time as there was plenty of funds in the account for the fuel payment. He could have come out even spoke via the speaker system all petrol stations have.If we had never gone this week or within days it would have escalated to DVLA for car details then Debt Recovery Agencies and Bailiffs. How on earth did the idiot working there not know the payment didn't go through and let a person go without paying or saying anything.I won't be coming back to this branch again. It was the first time my wife forgot to ask for a receipt too but the staff should have known payment not gone through.

Dire even by rd world standards (which is what it looks like they've modelled the shop on). First and foremost, they are constantly out of fuel. Even outside of panic buying times, I have never known a petrol station to have closed pumps as much as this place. Big smashed front window that's never been replaced and a shop that was mysteriously closed to customers for most of the year. Staff constantly on their mobiles not even acknowledging you. If there's ever a petrol station that's in need of new management it's this place.
